Dubai, UAE –
Parkin Company PJSC, Dubai’s leading provider of paid public parking facilities and services, has signed a landmark partnership with charge&go, a subsidiary of Etisalat Services Holding (ESH). This collaboration marks a major step forward for Dubai’s electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. The ten-year partnership is designed to introduce 200 ultra-fast direct current (DC) charging stations across the city, helping to support the growing number of electric vehicles on Dubai’s roads.
Accelerating Dubai’s Electric Vehicle Future
The partnership between Parkin and charge&go aims to speed up Dubai’s transition to greener mobility. By installing 200 ultra-fast charging stations, this initiative will make EV charging faster, more convenient, and more accessible for residents and visitors. The project is in line with Dubai’s 2040 urban master plan, which prioritizes sustainable development and greener transportation solutions.

The new DC charging network is set to launch in October 2025. With state-of-the-art technology, these stations will reduce EV charging times to under 30 minutes. This is a significant improvement compared to older alternating current (AC) charging systems, which typically take longer to charge vehicles. The new network will serve key locations across Dubai, including busy residential areas, popular shopping centers, leisure hubs, and other high-traffic spots.
Phase One: Quick Rollout of Key Charging Stations
The first phase of this project will see the installation of 20 charging stations at some of Dubai’s busiest locations. Over the next year, the program will expand to provide 200 public and private charging points across the city. This will help meet the needs of more than 40,000 electric vehicles currently operating in Dubai, while also preparing the city for future growth in EV adoption.
DC chargers are particularly advantageous because they allow cars to charge faster. This means that drivers will spend less time waiting and more time on the road. The park-and-charge service will also be fully integrated into Parkin’s mobile app, which allows users to check real-time charging updates, reserve a charging bay, and make secure payments directly from their phones.
Leadership Comments on the Partnership
Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, expressed his excitement about the project:
"This 10-year partnership with charge&go demonstrates our commitment to cleaner and greener mobility solutions for our customers. By collaborating with e&, we can access global knowledge and advanced technology, ensuring that Dubai remains at the forefront of sustainable transport. This initiative will accelerate the adoption of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles while meeting the growing demand for efficient charging infrastructure. Our goal is to support Dubai’s transformation into a smart, sustainable, and future-ready city."
Muammar Al Rukhaimi, CEO of Etisalat Services Holding, also shared his perspective:
"Dubai is showing how major cities can embrace sustainability on a large scale. This EV charging network is an important step in that direction. At e&, we aim to provide innovative technology that benefits people directly, making charging faster and more convenient. Together with Parkin, we are making green mobility accessible, proving that cities can grow responsibly while protecting the environment."
The Park-and-Charge Experience
The new EV charging network will operate under a strict park-and-charge protocol. Vehicles will only be allowed to occupy a charging bay while actively charging. This measure will prevent misuse of dedicated parking spaces and ensure that all EV owners have fair access to the stations.
By combining advanced DC charging technology with conveniently located parking spaces, the initiative enhances the overall experience for EV users in Dubai. Customers will benefit from faster charging, easy access, and better service standards, making electric vehicle ownership more practical and attractive.
A Strategic Move for Dubai’s Green Mobility Goals
Parkin currently manages approximately 212,000 paid parking spaces across Dubai. The company first signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with charge&go in October 2024 during the GITEX exhibition, one of the world’s largest technology and startup events. The full-scale rollout of this DC charging network will now make a significant contribution to Dubai’s green mobility objectives.
The project is a major step toward supporting the city’s vision for sustainable urban transport. By offering ultra-fast charging solutions and user-friendly mobile services, Parkin and e& are encouraging more residents and businesses to adopt electric vehicles. This initiative aligns perfectly with Dubai’s long-term goal to reduce carbon emissions, improve air quality, and create a cleaner, greener environment for all.
Technology and Convenience at the Core
DC chargers allow electric vehicles to recharge much faster than conventional AC chargers, reducing waiting times and increasing convenience for users. The charging stations will be equipped with the latest technology to ensure safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Through Parkin’s mobile app, users will have access to real-time updates on charging status, availability of charging bays, and secure in-app payment options. This digital approach makes charging EVs a seamless experience, appealing to tech-savvy residents and tourists alike.
Supporting Dubai’s Growing EV Community
The introduction of 200 ultra-fast charging stations will significantly improve the infrastructure needed to support Dubai’s growing EV population. As electric vehicles become more popular, the demand for fast and reliable charging solutions will continue to rise. This project ensures that Dubai stays ahead in providing sustainable mobility solutions to residents, visitors, and businesses.
By working together, Parkin and e& are delivering a service that combines convenience, technology, and sustainability. The initiative represents a forward-thinking approach to urban mobility, ensuring that electric vehicle adoption in Dubai continues to grow without compromising on efficiency or user experience.
The Parkin and charge&go partnership is more than just a business agreement—it is a vision for a sustainable and smart city. By rolling out 200 ultra-fast DC charging stations over ten years, this initiative will make electric vehicle ownership in Dubai more practical, convenient, and accessible.
With faster charging, strategically located stations, and a user-friendly mobile platform, residents and visitors can enjoy an enhanced EV experience. This project supports Dubai’s commitment to sustainable development, reducing environmental impact, and creating a future-ready city for generations to come.
This ambitious project shows how collaboration between companies, technology, and government initiatives can transform urban mobility, making Dubai a model for green and innovative cities worldwide.
