This agreement aims to strengthen trade and investment, enhancing economic stability against global supply shifts. Thailand conveyed hope for a swift conclusion to the deal, emphasizing its importance for future economic unity.
The conversation also addressed joint initiatives to tackle online fraud and cyber threats. Both countries have been collaborating effectively through initiatives like the Thailand–Korea Breaking Chains project, which includes plans for improving training and technology to fight digital scams and safeguard their citizens.
Additionally, the talk highlighted the burgeoning cultural connections, aiming to boost partnerships in tourism, film, and entertainment. Both leaders recognized the rising significance of cultural exchanges and concurred to deepen cooperation in creative domains. The Thai Prime Minister extended an invitation for an official visit to the South Korean President during the upcoming ASEAN Summit, where discussions on CEPA and other pacts may continue.
