Israeli Defense Forces carried out a series of raids and arrest operations across the occupied West Bank on Monday, detaining at least 14 Palestinians from different cities and towns. According to Palestinian reports, the operations included home raids, searches and property damage in several areas across the territory.
The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that eight people were arrested in the Hebron Governorate during overnight military operations. Israeli forces also detained two young men from the suburb of Artaah, located south of Tulkarm, after entering and searching their homes. Witnesses reported that household belongings were damaged during the raids.
Additional arrests were reported in Ramallah, while another Palestinian man was detained in the town of Al-Khader, south of Bethlehem. One more arrest took place in Kafr Thulth, a town located south of Qalqilya. Local residents said military vehicles entered the areas before dawn and conducted searches in residential neighborhoods.
Alongside the arrests, Israeli forces reportedly demolished a residential house and an industrial facility in the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah. Palestinian officials and residents said the demolition caused damage to nearby structures and increased tensions in the area. Israeli authorities did not immediately issue detailed comments regarding the demolitions.
The occupied West Bank has witnessed frequent military raids and confrontations in recent months as tensions continue across the Palestinian territories. Israeli forces regularly conduct operations in cities, refugee camps and villages, often resulting in clashes with local residents. Palestinian sources say these operations are commonly accompanied by arrests, the use of tear gas, rubber bullets and, in some cases, live ammunition.
Residents in many Palestinian areas say daily raids have created fear and instability, particularly during nighttime military operations. Human rights organisations have repeatedly expressed concern over rising violence, property destruction and the humanitarian impact of continued confrontations between Israeli forces and Palestinians. The situation has also drawn international attention amid ongoing regional tensions.
The conflict between Israelis and Palestinians remains one of the most sensitive and long-standing disputes in the Middle East. Political negotiations have remained largely stalled while security operations, protests and violence continue to affect daily life in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. International observers continue to call for efforts to reduce tensions and protect civilians on both sides.
