The film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, remains a blockbuster at the Indian box office, achieving unprecedented collections. Audiences are captivated by its thrilling storyline and popular tracks like Akshaye Khanna’s dance hit FA9LA. A highlight from the movie, the lively number Shararat, featuring Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza, has quickly become a favorite among fans.
Choreographer Vijay Ganguly shared insights about Tamannaah Bhatia, who was initially proposed for the Shararat performance. However, director Aditya Dhar decided it was better to have two stars instead of one to keep the focus on the story. “If it was Tamannaah, the spotlight would be on her rather than the narrative. Having two performers helps reinforce the plot without overshadowing it,” he explained.
Set against a wedding backdrop, the song seamlessly integrates into the film’s storyline, avoiding distractions from the main events. Vijay emphasized that the vibrant activity within the film warranted the song to remain interlinked with the narrative, steering clear of the traditional “item number” format.
Ayesha Khan shared her enthusiasm on social media, posting behind-the-scenes moments from the set of Dhurandhar. She lauded Aditya Dhar's immersive storytelling, stating that audiences truly engage with the characters and setting. Similarly, Krystle D’Souza expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of appreciation from fans, revealing her inbox is overflowing with dance covers and fan interactions.
Directed and written by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar draws inspiration from authentic covert RAW operations, notably concerning Operation Lyari. The film features Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, along with Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. Fans can expect Part 2 of the film to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.
So far, Dhurandhar has amassed more than ₹800 crore globally, with ₹555.5 crore coming from the Indian market alone. It now ranks among the top ten highest-grossing Indian films, outpacing Animal, while still captivating audiences despite competition from James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire & Ash, currently in theaters.
