His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, made a visit to the Al Khawaneej campus of Dubai Schools. His mission was to review initiatives aimed at reinforcing Dubai's status as an educational center and to assess the strategic ambitions of the Knowledge Fund Establishment. During his tour, Sheikh Hamdan observed classrooms in action, noting the students' focused engagement and reiterating that people are the core of Dubai's groundbreaking educational framework. He underscored that the vision set forth by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum places a strong emphasis on investing in education and human resources as vital for Dubai's developmental trajectory.
Sheikh Hamdan remarked on the objective of the Dubai education system to shape future leaders and visionaries, instilling national values while preparing students for a competitive global landscape. He highlighted the public-private partnership model as essential for enhancing human capital and fostering a knowledge-driven society along with a creative economy. Accompanying the Crown Prince were significant figures from the Executive Council and Knowledge Fund Establishment, including Abdulla Mohammed Al Basti and Ahmad AbdulKarim Julfar.
Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, shared progress in developing a cohesive educational framework aligned with the Dubai Social Agenda 33 and the Dubai Education Strategy 2033. He noted that Dubai Schools now span across three campuses in Nad Al Sheba, Al Khawaneej, and Al Barsha, focusing on offering top-notch education, instilling national values, and equipping students with future-ready skills. Investments in this sector have surged from AED 62 million in 2021 to AED 1 billion projected by 2025, with expectations reaching AED 4 billion by 2033. Enrollment figures have risen from 1,200 to 4,515, with a target of 15,000 by 2033, while an impressive 99 percent re-enrollment rate signifies both parental satisfaction and institutional excellence.
Dubai Schools exemplify effective cooperation between public and private sectors, with significant national entities providing tuition sponsorships and ensuring that quality education remains accessible across various community segments. Key partners include Dubai Islamic Bank, DAMAC, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emaar, DP World, Dubai Duty Free, and others.
