Gowtam Tinnanuri’s film Kingdom has been one of the most talked-about movies this year. The film, starring Vijay Deverakonda, Satyadev, Venkitesh, and Bhagyashri Borse, released in theatres on July 31. While the movie received attention for its story and performances, fans were left puzzled and slightly upset about some missing elements in the theatrical version.
Fans Wonder About Hridayam Lopala Song
One of the main topics of discussion among fans was the absence of the hit song Hridayam Lopala. The romantic track, composed by Anirudh Ravichander, was released before the movie and became viral. Fans were eagerly waiting to see Vijay Deverakonda and Bhagyashri Borse perform the song on screen. Unfortunately, when the movie hit theatres, the song was nowhere to be found.

Many viewers expressed their disappointment online, asking why such a popular track was not included. Some fans, especially couples, were hoping to watch Vijay Deverakonda in a romantic scene featuring the song.
Producer Addresses The Issue
The day after the theatrical release, producer Naga Vamsi addressed this concern during a press meet in Hyderabad. Using his usual witty style, he explained that while the team wanted to include the song, it simply did not match the intensity of the film.
He said, “I know a lot of people felt bad, especially lovers, probably because they wanted to see Vijay Deverakonda kiss, and they missed it. We tried a lot, but we couldn’t fit it into the intensity of the film overall.”
He also added that some fans suggested placing the song in the second half of the movie, where they felt the pacing slowed down. However, he explained that the movie’s ending needed to maintain its tempo, and the song could not be fitted without affecting the climax.
OTT Release On Netflix Disappoints Again
After the theatrical release, fans eagerly waited for the OTT release on Netflix, hoping the song Hridayam Lopala would be added. However, when the film went live on the streaming platform, the song was still missing. This left fans disappointed once again, as they could not experience the movie fully with their favorite track.
Other Scenes Missing In OTT Version
Apart from the romantic song, the Netflix version of Kingdom also removed a carnival fight scene. This action sequence was one of the key highlights of the theatrical version and added excitement and depth to the movie.
The removal of these scenes was reportedly done to maintain pacing and flow for OTT viewers. While this approach makes the digital version faster and easier to watch, many fans felt that it reduced the overall entertainment value. The action and romantic moments were among the reasons viewers enjoyed the theatrical release, and their absence left a noticeable gap.
Fan Reactions
Fans took to social media to express their disappointment. Many mentioned that the missing song and fight scene were essential parts of the movie experience. Some wrote that the theatrical version, with all its music and action, felt complete, while the OTT version seemed slightly incomplete and less engaging.
Why Scenes Were Cut
Film producers often make slight changes to movies when releasing them on digital platforms. This is usually done to improve the pacing, as audiences watching on OTT platforms prefer a faster flow without long breaks or slowed sequences.
In the case of Kingdom, the team likely wanted to make the digital version tighter and more streamlined. However, this decision affected the fan experience because some of the most loved moments from theatres were no longer available online.
While Kingdom remains popular for its story, performances, and overall production, fans have clearly expressed their disappointment with the OTT release. The absence of the viral song Hridayam Lopala and the key carnival fight scene has left many viewers feeling that the digital version does not fully capture the excitement and romance of the theatrical release.
Producers often face a challenge when adapting films for streaming platforms. Balancing the original vision with OTT pacing requirements is difficult, and in this case, it seems fans were hoping for more of the content they loved from theatres.
For now, fans will have to rely on the theatrical experience for the full enjoyment of Kingdom. Even though the Netflix version provides easy access to the movie, it misses a few critical elements that made it special on the big screen.
