Ranveer Singh’s spy thriller, Dhurandhar, continues to assert itself as a major box office hit this year. Two weeks into its release, the film shows no signs of diminishing interest. On its 15th day, it surpassed the remarkable ₹470 crore mark, reflecting its strong appeal among audiences nationwide.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film debuted on December 5 amidst mixed critical reviews. However, positive word-of-mouth and robust support from fans have allowed it to gain significant traction. With packed houses, repeat reflections, and high footfall over weekends, Dhurandhar has earned its place as a blockbuster.
Industry tracker Sacnilk indicates that Dhurandhar raked in approximately ₹11.69 crore by Friday evening, bringing its total earnings to around ₹472.19 crore in two weeks. Experts predict a figure above ₹480 crore by day’s end, marking another achievement.
The first week was particularly notable for the film, generating ₹207.25 crore within just seven days, effectively outpacing the Hindi version of Pushpa 2, which garnered ₹196.50 crore in the same period. Moviegoers were impressed by the film's continued rise, as it earned around ₹253.25 crore in its second week—a rare feat in the current market.
As the film approaches its third week, it remains a draw for audiences, but now contends with competition from the highly awaited Hollywood release, Avatar: Fire and Ash, directed by James Cameron, which is expected to attract large crowds. The focus remains on whether Dhurandhar can sustain its strong performance in the days ahead.
Dhurandhar is an electrifying spy thriller predominantly set in Pakistan. Ranveer Singh portrays an Indian operative infiltrating terror networks in the Lyari region. The film combines action, suspense, and emotional narratives, resonating well with viewers. The stellar cast also includes R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun.
Produced by Jio Studios under Jyoti Deshpande's supervision, along with Aditya and Lokesh Dhar’s B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is part one of a two-part series. The narrative follows Ranveer’s character, Hamza Ali Mazari, who is later revealed to be Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an undercover agent in hostile territory. A sequel has been officially scheduled for release on March 19, 2026.
With strong box office figures, ongoing audience interest, and a sequel in the pipeline, Dhurandhar has firmly established itself as one of the most successful Hindi films of 2025. Its box office success reflects not only star power but also a growing audience appetite for expansive, narrative-driven action films.
