Apple iPhone 16e launched: Check its price in India

Apple has launched a new phone called the iPhone 16e. Many people thought it would be named the iPhone SE 4, but Apple gave it a new name. This phone has many changes, which is why its price is higher. The small 4.7-inch screen in the old iPhone SE 3 is now replaced with a bigger 6.1-inch screen. The phone no longer has a home button. Instead, people can unlock it using Face ID. It also has a new and faster A18 chip, a better 48-megapixel camera, and is the cheapest iPhone to support Apple’s smart features.

In India, the starting price of the iPhone 16e is ₹59,900 for the 128GB model. There are also 256GB and 512GB models, which cost ₹69,900 and ₹89,900. The cheapest iPhone 16 costs ₹79,900, which is ₹20,000 more than the iPhone 16e. People can book the iPhone 16e from February 21, and it will be available in stores from February 28.

The new iPhone has many changes. The larger screen makes it better for watching videos and using apps. The notch on the screen now includes Face ID, which helps unlock the phone. The mute switch, which was present in earlier iPhones, is now replaced with the Action Button that can be used for different tasks. The charging port is also different. Instead of the old Lightning port, the iPhone 16e now has a USB-C port, just like the latest iPhones.

The iPhone 16e has Apple’s new A18 chip, which is much faster than the A13 chip used in the iPhone 11. Apple says the new chip makes the phone 80% faster. It also improves graphics and smart features. The iPhone 16e is the most affordable iPhone that supports Apple’s smart features like Genmoji, Writing Tools, and ChatGPT.

The camera has also been improved. The iPhone 16e has a 48-megapixel main camera with 2x zoom. By default, it takes 24-megapixel pictures, but users can switch to 48 megapixels for sharper images. The camera also has Portrait mode, Night mode, and HDR, which help take better photos in different lighting conditions. The front camera is 12 megapixels and supports autofocus, 4K video recording, and Dolby Vision for better selfies and videos.

Apple has not shared the exact battery size, but it claims the iPhone 16e can run up to 26 hours while playing videos. The phone also supports wireless charging. It includes satellite features like Messages via Satellite and Emergency SOS. The phone also has Crash Detection, but it is not clear if the emergency features will work outside the U.S.

With these changes, the iPhone 16e comes with a bigger screen, a faster chip, a better camera, and Apple’s smart features at a lower price than the iPhone 16. This makes it a good option for people who want a new iPhone at a more affordable price.
